DRIED PUMPKIN:
In September, pumpkins are dried to be consumed during winter.
After peeling and removing the seeds, the pumpkin is sliced into circles of approximately the same thickness.
The slices are then threaded onto long wooden sticks and left to dry slowly under the sun. Care is taken to move the sticks, following the sun's path and avoiding shaded areas. Additionally, at sunset, the sticks are brought indoors to prevent moisture from affecting the final result.
Dried pumpkin has many beneficial properties. The complex of vitamins and minerals found in the flesh has a positive effect on the bodies of both adults and children.
Dried pumpkin contains vitamins A, C, D, E, F, PP, K, T, B group; calcium; carotene; iron; magnesium; copper; phosphorus; cellulose; and sugar.
Vitamin T increases hemoglobin, accelerates platelet production, and enhances blood coagulation.
Vitamin K speeds up wound healing and blood clotting.
Benefits of dried pumpkin:
Improves memory
Normalizes the digestive tract (in cases of colitis, enteritis)
Prevents hair loss
Rejuvenates the skin
Improves mood
Calms the nervous system
Strengthens blood vessels
Regulates sleep
Strengthens the musculoskeletal system
Accelerates bone healing in fractures
Prevents tooth decay
CRUSCHI PEPPERS:
After harvesting, in August, the peppers are dried using traditional methods.
They are individually threaded through the stem using a needle and thread, and then arranged in "serte" (necklaces).
The peppers are hung on windows and balconies, exposed to the sun, to preserve their valuable properties. This ensures that their taste and nutritional value remain unchanged throughout the seasons.
When used in cooking, sun-dried peppers provide precious benefits to our bodies.
The active compounds found in peppers have antioxidant and antimicrobial effects.
Despite their very low cholesterol and saturated fat content, peppers are rich in vitamin A, vitamin C, and folic acid.
Furthermore, due to their low sodium content, they contribute to maintaining normal blood pressure.
